1930   First Laura store opens in Montreal.

1973   Second store opens in St. Laurent, Montreal.

1975   Laura, Place Vertu, Montreal opens.

1976   Laura, les Galeries d'Anjou, Montreal opens.

1977   Laura, Boulevard Shopping Centre, opens.
Laura, Promenades St-Bruno, opens.

1983   Expansion into Ontario begins with two new stores:
Laura, Bayshore Shopping Centre, Ottawa
Laura, Rideau Centre, Ottawa.

1984   First Melanie Lyne stores launched in two Montreal shopping centres:
Carrefour Laval and Promenades St-Bruno.

1989   The first Toronto stores open in Fairview Mall and Sherway Gardens.
Laura Petites is launched in Montreal in two locations: Place Vertu and Carrefour Laval.
Melanie Lyne opens in les Galeries d'Anjou.

1990   8 new stores open.

1991   13 new stores open.

1992   7 new stores open.

1993   9 new stores open.

1994   8 new stores open.

1995   Laura Plus division is launched in the fall of 1995 with 8 new locations.

1996   Western expansion begins with stores opening in British Columbia and Alberta.

1997   Laura Petites opens in Richmond Centre, B.C., 4 stores open in Edmonton, 4 stores open in Winnipeg as well as additional stores opening in Quebec and Ontario.

1998   15 new stores open. Charity association with the Canadian Cancer Society begins.

1999   6 new stores open.
Laura Privilege, Laura Canada’s customer loyalty program, is launched.

2000   5 new stores open.

2001   Additional Laura, Laura Petites, Laura Plus and Melanie Lyne stores open across Canada.

2002   Additional Laura Petites stores open in British Columbia and Ontario.
Triple concept stores launched October 2002.

2003   Opening of several double concept stores in Quebec and Ontario.
Melanie Lyne opens a new location in Hamilton.
Renovations of several store locations within Ontario and Quebec.

Laura opens a new location in Bramalea City Centre.
Laura Canada reaches milestone of over $1 million dollars raised since 1998 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

2005   Renovations of several store locations within Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia.
New Melanie Lyne store opens in Place Rosemère.
New Superstore location opens in Heartland Town Centre.
New Laura Petites location opens in Bramalea City Centre (November 2005).

2006   7 new Melanie Lyne stores open with locations in St. Vital Centre, Polo Park, Chinook Centre, Edmonton City Centre, The Bay Centre, Georgian Mall and Vaughan Mills.
New Laura Superstore opens in Vaughan Mills.

2007   5 new Melanie Lyne stores open with locations in Oshawa Centre, Promenade Shopping Centre, Devonshire Mall, Oakville Place and Heartland Town Centre.
2 new Laura Plus stores open with locations in Polo Park and Oshawa Centre.
2 new Laura Superstores open with locations in Riocan Centre Burloak and Riocan Meadows.
1 new Laura/Laura Petites store opens in New Sudbury Centre, Ontario Laura Canada expands into Atlantic Canada with the opening of a Laura Superstore in Dartmouth Crossing, Nova Scotia.

2008   3 new Melanie Lyne stores open with locations in Contestoga Mall, Shops at Don Mills, Hillcrest Mall.
7 new Laura triple concept stores open with locations in Rockland Centre, Scarborough Town Centre, Fairview Mall, Bayshore Shopping Centre, Market Mall, Place Vertu and New Sudbury Centre.
2 new double concept stores open with locations in Metropolis at Metrotown and Promenades St. Bruno.
2 new Melanie Lyne stores open with locations in Galeries de la Capitale and Scarborough Town Centre.
Laura Canada celebrates 10 year partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society.

4 new Laura triple concept stores open in Southcentre Mall, West Edmonton Mall, Mapleview Centre and CrossIron Mills.
4 new Laura double concept stores open in Guildford Town Centre, Place d’Orléans, Galeries d’Anjou and Galeries de la Capitale.
Laura Canada expands into Newfoundland with the opening of a Laura triple concept store in The Village Shopping Centre, Newfoundland.
1 new Laura Superstore opens in Mega Centre Vaudreuil.

12 new Melanie Lyne stores open with locations in Dartmouth Crossing, Riocan Colossus Centre, Cambridge SmartCentre, South Edmonton Common, Park Royal Shopping Centre, Les Factoreries St-Sauveur, South Point Exchange, Gatineau SmartCentre, Spall Plaza, Riocan Kirkland Centre, Trinity Crossing and Uptown Saanich.
2 new Melanie Lyne Outlet stores open with locations in Dixie Outlet Mall and Dufferin-Steeles Marketplace.
1 new Laura Superstore opens in Morgan Crossing.
5 new Laura triple concept stores open in Mayflower Mall, Champlain Place, Bayers Lake Centre, The Mall at Lawson Heights and King’s Crossing Fashion Outlets.
9 new Laura double concept stores open in Sunrise Shopping Centre, Le Carrefour Champêtre Bromont, Carrefour de la Rive Sud, Queensborough Landing, Canada One Factory Outlet Mall, Kenaston SmartCentres, Westshore Town Centre, South Trail Crossing and Beacon Hill Centre.
3 new Laura Outlet locations open in St. Jacob’s Factory Outlet Mall, Silver City Centre and Deerfoot Mall.
