Buying Department
We are team of creative professionals searching the domestic markets for the best in dresses, outerwear, sportswear and accessories for our target customer. We also search for fashion trends in the U.S.A. AND Europe for our private label programs. We are always looking for and developing what is 'fashion right' for our customer.

Finance Department
Our team deals with the daily challenges of corporate finance. We work closely with Sales Audit, Accounts Payable, and Payroll to ensure that all monies are accounted for and the financial transactions are properly documented. We are also responsible for the preparation of financial statements and budgets for review by the executive management group. It is our job to ensure that the company's assets are protected.

Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department provides leadership, direction, and support to our Corporate and Regional Clientele. The director of human resources, together with the human resource team work to improve corporate performance by hiring and retaining talented individuals. This involves implementing policies and programs relating to recruitment, training and development, health and safety, performance management and benefits administration.

Loss Prevention Department
On an on-going basis, the Loss Prevention Department focuses on ensuring that company losses are either eliminated or reduced to a minimum through the application of numerous prevention strategies. Our department deals with a wide variety of loss prevention issues, including shoplifting, fraud detection, policy abuses and counterfeit rings. We are also responsible for furthering the development and application of numerous prevention strategies, policies, and controls. No two days are ever the same in the Loss Prevention Department. Our goal is to ensure an honest working environment where integrity is practiced and expected.

Information technology
The mission of Information Technology at Laura Canada is to provide cost effective, timely, and quality solutions for the company's information and communication needs. Our team of programmers, technical support and business analysts support the needs of corporate, regional and the 150 plus stores that make up the Laura chain. We provide a variety of corporate applications which are fully integrated with our store Point of Sales systems through a sophisticated private and secure communications network. This allows us to provide timely information for management to quickly and easily make decisions on merchandise pricing, planning, procurement, distribution, and customer support.

Marketing Department
The marketing department focuses on the image, communications and overall standards of all our divisions. We achieve this through creative in-store and window presentations. Marketing concentrates on creating strong promotional programs, P.O.P. and branding initiatives. We develop creative mandates that will ensure loyalty and customer trust, placing Laura Canada as her first choice for all her shopping needs.

Merchandise Planning and Allocation Department
The Planning and Allocation Department is responsible for ensuring proper flow of merchandise through our Distribution Centre as well as analyzing the needs for each store, enabling them to reach their planned sales objectives. Working with the Merchandise Buying Teams, allocation plans are put in place using stores Product Profiles. This allows us to maximize sell through of all merchandise in each store.

Visual Presentation Department
The visual department focuses on maintaining an exceptional standard of high impact displays, while creating unique and meaningful ways of presenting merchandise to our customers. The visual department is a support to the stores' assisting managers with placement decisions and training issues pertaining to in-store merchandising. The visual department is also responsible for seasonal and bi-weekly window changes.
